New Assessments & Research
Naglieri General Ability Tests
Developed by Dr. Jack A. Naglieri and Drs. Dina Brulles and Kimberly Lansdowne, the Naglieri General Ability Tests (Verbal, Nonverbal, and Quantitative) measure thinking rather than knowledge. These assessments provide a fair approach to identifying gifted and advanced learners by minimizing language and cultural bias.
Mandated Counseling Assessment Rating Scale (MCARS)
Created by Drs. Jack A. Naglieri and John Kelly, the MCARS helps school psychologists and counselors measure and document the impact of mandated counseling. This research-based tool offers a consistent framework for tracking student progress and outcomes.

Dr. Jack Naglieri and Emily Kircher-Morris teamed up for the first time at NAGC 2025 to present Neurodiversity: Is It Real? Examining the Science Behind Learner Variability. Dr. Jack A. Naglieri Presents at the 2025 CASP Conference
Dr. Jack A. Naglieri presented at the 2025 California Association of School Psychologists (CASP) Conference, where he discussed the importance of executive function in assessment and intervention. His session highlighted practical ways school psychologists can use assessment results to better understand students’ thinking processes and guide meaningful support strategies.
NAGC 2022 Annual Convention
At the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) 2022 Annual Convention, Dr. Jack A. Naglieri officially launched the Naglieri General Ability Tests with co-authors Drs. Dina Brulles and Kimberly Lansdowne. This was the first opportunity for educators and psychologists to see the new assessments in action, and the sessions drew strong interest for their innovative approach to identifying student potential. Attendees were excited about this breakthrough test and its innovative approach to identifying student potential.
